Mandy is fleetingly mentioned in today's Washington POST Style section, and
the squib finally cleared my 'channel' to our guy's long-suffering agent, as
follows:
... 'lo? Mandster? Yeah, 's me. Those scumball jerkwad pinhead weasels at
the POST! They -rewrote- my press release! ...C'mon, Mandy, you know I've
been pounding the drum about STRANGE JUSTICE. It's never too early to
start bucking for your next Emmy, y'know.
So I sent the Reliable Source columnist at the POST the PR packet, and you
wanna listen to this?! OK, this is the piece, all three sentences of it, in
its -entirety-, OK? "And -we- thought he was just a regular guy! It turns
out that Ken Duberstein is so richly complex a character that he'll be
played by Mandy Patinkin in the upcoming Showtime movie STRANGE JUSTICE,
based on jane Mayer and Jill Abramson's book on the Clarence Thomas Supreme
Court nomination battle. The two-hour docudrama -- in which lobbyist
Duberstein is our hero -- debuts August 29."
... What's wrong with that? Whaddaya mean, what's WRONG with that?!? It's
about -Duberstein-! You're a bit mention! This is -not- what I wrote in
the press release, Mandster, I swear it on my stock portfolio! ... Yeah,
so Duberstein's a Washington homeboy, maybe they want him to get top
billing. Yeah, right! and Posh Spice is all over the Style section 'cause
she's a hometown honey in DC!
... Look, lemme read you -my- press release, before they screwed it over.
"Mandy Patinkin brings all his power and passion to -- " ...OK, you wanna
skip that bit. It goes on, "In a statement, Kenneth Duberstein said, 'To be
played by a consummate artist like Mr. Patinkin has been the dream of my
life. I am not worthy!'"
... What, you don't like it? What's not to like? This guy should be fully
cognizant of the fact that -you- are doing -him- a mondo favor, portraying
him on nationwide cable TV. Think about the effect on his love life! You
should see Duberstein's picture, he looks like the Pillsbury Doughboy with
hair. The picture I sent them of you leaves it in the dust!
... Which picture? Oh, you know, your new Teri-Hatcher-style photo. You,
with nothing on but a smoldering look and a really billowy bedsheet.
Beefcake! And they pick Duberstein. God, my faith in the taste and
discernment of the American media today is like totally destroyed, you hear
what I'm sayin'? The dickweeds.

Street)Mandy appeared in? I found one video at my local library that he
was listed as being in (#5), but he only appeared (with Isaac) as the
