Cindi, thanks for the credit for the paragraph below, but I did not write it,
Karen did, I just put my four cents worth in! Patty

Again, thanks for all the great press, but I didn't write this!

Yes, Mandy did get a "shocking amount" of money to do his New Year's Eve
concert. However, that was a private affair that one very, very wealthy man
was willing to pay. He did not pass the high cost of his concert onto his
fans.

I really like Barbra Streisand. However, a couple of years ago when she
first did her live concert at Madison Square Garden after 30 years, she said
she was doing it for her fans. Tickets sold for approximately $325. How can
you say that you are doing this for your fans and charging that amount of
money. Yes, she is a wonderful talent. But, $325 for one ticket is a bit
much. The only time that I can remember tickets being that expensive for one
of Mandy's performances was when they did the benefit concert of Sunday In
The Park With George. Orchestra tickets were somewhere around $300+ but that
was a benefit concert for Friends In Deed and not a Mandy Patinkin concert.

Regards,
  Helaine

Hi everyone!

I see that the date for the WP opeing has changed to April 13. I had bought
tickets for April 10 thinking that this is after the offical opening. Is
there a chance that I won't see mandy perform...perhaps an understudy?

Thanks.

Unless the flu is going around, it is highly unlikely that any of the
principals would take a frivolous day off during previews when the show could
still change....so rest assured, that Mandy SHOULD be in the show April 10,
barring any unforseen emergencies!
