I was going to say I didn't think it was that bad when I realized I had
literally snoozed through much of it! I didn't hear the "shit happens"
remark but I was awake to hear "eat me". I won't feel bad if the experts on
the list correct my grammar--it's something I'm working on at the risk of
becoming just like my mother--she has had degenerative dementia for years
but still corrects everyone's grammar--Liz

well Phyl130, my wife took 3 of our grandchildren to see "Elmo in Grouchland" a
couple of weeks ago then we went to see MP in Galveston last weekend. When asked
by the 5 year old grandson where we were going my wife replied that we were
going to see Huxley. To which he quickly said "but grandma he's mean, he'll hurt
you". My wife told the 5 yr old that we were just going to hear him (MP) sing,
the 5yr old said "he sings pretty grandma". We agree Michael!!!!!!!!!!!!
And he did..........sing pretty.

I did the same thing. Turned it back on just in time
to see MacNeil say goodnight to the officer on the
horse and remember the boy petting it. Just a question
in this regard though... How would he get infected
from petting the horse? Surely they would have
disinfected the entire arm and upper torso, so how did
he relate the infection to this?

I watched the episode, while I was disapointed that mandy's character was not
portrayed, I wasn't bored with the episode. Being a mother of two, I could
understand
the agony that both parents experienced. It is hard to watch your children
suffer. I didn't care for the style of program, You know, we see the end and
return to the beginning to understand the story, that was a little slow. I
was more in sync with the story involving adam arkin's character, Dr. Shutt
and the little girl. With what little time I have to watch t.v., I always
look forward to Thurs. nights and my hour with the Chicago Hope family. I
especially look forward to the new cast. Last years cast was wearing old on
this viewer. Welcome back Mandy, and your character Dr. Jeffery Geiger.

Hello Everyone,
Just wanted to make sure you are all aware of the fact that Doctors
withouth Boarders just received the Nobel Peace Price. That is the
organization, along with PAX, that Mandy was raising money for during his
concerts. Such a smart man and he sings well too!

It was a compound fracture. Guess the infection got in there from the git go.

But I thought Phillip said that MacNeil could've just
set the fracture without risking infection. Oh well...

You can actually take a picture of yourself using your computer monitor.

Your monitor can discern small electrical impulses and detect bright
and dark areas very close to the screen (1-2 feet). This is still a
beta site, and the image is blurred, but it works !!!

You won't believe this one!!

(Oh, and PLEASE forward the site to your friends! There are easy
instructions on the site showing you how to forward it to your friends!
They will get such a kick out of it, I promise!)

I remember that one well...I was very pregnant with Hannah at the time. Al
and I were on our way to buy a Volvo wagon at the dealer in Santa Clara.
Bethany was just 1 and Jacob was 2 1/2 in their carseats in the back of our
Jetta. It felt like Bubba Parris was jumping on the bumper of the car. The
street lights were swaying back and forth like an antennae in a gale wind.
But we were together and safe...

Subject: S--- Happens with DEK (a bit off)
Date: Sat, 16 Oct 1999 18:09:05 EDT

Per today's LA Times:

"Chicago Hope - which broke new ground for prime-time TV Thursday by having a
character say "S--- happens" [their ---, not mine] - scored its highest
rating this season, attracting about 11.9 million viewers. A CBS spokesman
said the network received only about 50 calls complaining about the phrase,
and many of those came in reaction to news reports prior to the actual
broadcast."

(News reports were, I'm guessing, that the term was going to be used.)

Go figure. America turn into Chicago Hope for a 4 letter word. While we on
the M-A-N-D-Y list turn in for a 5 letter word --> and he doesn't even show
up. *sigh*

While I'm here, Times also reports that DEK will chat on line with fans at 7
pm Oct. 25 prior to season premier of Ally McBeal. Chat will be at:

http://www.Fox.com and http://chat.Yahoo.com

hours. Where is everyone staying? My ticket is not too good, considering I
got it as soon as they went on sale July 18. Row L . I would like to see
you all at the concert. At least get together for dinner???
