Had the same problem this past spring with a Houston concert, one month before
tickets still not on sale, we were told concert would be rescheduled, and it was.
The change was due to the taping of CH. So just hang on, our guy is very busy now
there is a new CD due to come out the end of the year in addition to CH,Sesame ST,
& concerts. The CD will be entitled Kidults ( not sure about spelling) He talked
about it in May in Houston, music for kids and adults.By the way did anyone see SJ
again tonight ? Came in turned on the TV through down my purse, and went into the
kitchen until I heard that voice we all love, who needs food..I have it on
tape, but it still was good..I guess we are all a little nuts.

Sorry to have to ask this but I'm just getting back to the list after being
gone for about 3 weeks. What voiceover is this? The only ones I knew he
did were for MTA.

Hi,
I finally heard the commercial tonite. His voice and intonation are
unmistakable!:)) But it was eerie hearing his voice after a scene with a
bride and her mother were talking about the mother's lack of energy after
chemo! Mandy is on long too!

What does everyone else think? Mandy must be making a bundle from this ad!!!

Mandy does the voiceover for a new commercial advertising the drug Procrit.
It is airing during news programs on CBS, and likely elsewhere.

He's probably making lots of money. Here's what a company rep wrote:

"The ad is running continuously on all network and most major cable stations."

I was trying to get them to send me a copy of the ad....didn't seem to
work. Drug companies just send me stuff I *don't* want. Guess I'll have to
turn on my TV......Carol

Hello,
I'd like to remind that there is the archive of messages of our
mailing list (digests) on FortuneCity. If you seem to miss
something or when in doubt you can check this site.
Of course, sometimes I can't update it every day though....
I can try to add there the notice in case there is a problem with the
list in the future....

the URL is:
http://victorian.fortunecity.com/klimt/407/index.html

I also added two small b&w pics from Mandy's visit to Prague in
April 1998 (I discovered it on Czech Internet sites).

Have a nice weekend, friends,
Vera in Prague.

Hi!
This is an (virtual) invitation:
I don't want to bore you but anyway I'd like to let you know that I
made some major changes to my "M.Patinkin in Prague" website.
I've added the new part to my site with the pictures of Jewish
historic places (cementaries, synagogues..) here in Prague and
I hope some of you could find it interesting. You can see why
Mandy comes back to Prague .....:-))))))
URL:
http://victorian.fortunecity.com/klimt/407/index.html
and go to "The Jewish Prague".... be patient, please, and look at the
large sized pics, too.....

Thanks.
Take care,
Vera.
PS: What about visiting Prague?

I accessed the Readings site and found it very interesting but I
thought the ordering process was screwy (or maybe I am)--anyway, today out
of curiousity I accessedd "http://www.cdnow.com" and they had four of his
cds: On The Boards, Centre Stage, Midnight Dreaming, and Back In The Swing.
I ordered two of them, and Back In The Swing was backordered. They were
supposedly on sale and probably for the difference in postage may be
cheaper than Readings. I didn't check on videos, but there's that info if
anyone is interested--Liz H.

I got the CD version in the mail today and gave it a listen right away. I
have to agree with Carol -- it is delightful! It's funny, it's sweet, it's
romantic, and parts are so touching that I had to reach for the kleenex!
Mandy is just terrific, as always. His voice, his
expression....just perfect, especially in the tender, quiet moments. The
producer told me, "Mandy's reading is definitive. No one else will ever be
able to lay claim to Adam." I think he's right! Oh yeah, Betty Buckley was
pretty good too - only sounded a little like Bernadette Peters in a couple
spots to me, Carol ;)

post-party. and travel from your hotel for $330

Well, rats ... *now* you tell me. And I've already loaded up on popcorn and
bought a "special outfit" (read: new sweats) for Sunday night :-(

Wouldn't it be fun next year for everyone on the list to go if he gets
nominated? Can you imagine how much noise we could make from that
balcony if he won? Not that we wouldn't do it in a very dignified
manner! :o)

I could bring my alto-sax mouth piece. It makes a
noise like a one of those air cans. I found this
out tonight because THE CAMPBELL COUNTY COUGARS
WON for the first time in five years! NA NA NA NA
NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA! I have Pep and
Marching band stuck in my brain. We had the music
to "I Dreamed a Dream", but noone wanted to do it
(this is where I break out into sobs)!
Crazily yours,
