He was nominated for Ally's writing but not the Practice. Great! Well......not really. As far as I could tell, there is no Mandy song on it. Nine tracks total. There are songs by Vanessa Williams, Tatyiana Ali, assorted Grouchland muppets, and even one by Steven Tyler (Aerosmith, right?), but none by the thief with the bushy eyebrows. Seems odd he isn't there, but at least on the outside of the CD, there's no Mandy song mentioned. Just caught an ad on tv for both the soundtrack and the "Elmo in Grouchland" Sing and Play video. Nice for the kiddies, but where's Huxley for the rest of us???? You'd almost think this was supposed to be a kid's movie or something........ ;) -Char ******************************************************************** Mandy Patinkin - High Flying Adored http://home.att.net/~mosert/char/mandy.htm ******************************************************************** ----------------Message-boundary From: [email protected] To: [email protected] Subject: Re: MP: Elmo soundtrack Date: Tue, 14 Sep 1999 21:30:19 -0700 Char wrote: > but where's Huxley for the rest of us???? Well, it's not in "Grouchland Stinks,""Grouchland Surprises," "Happy Grouch Day","Unwelcome to Grouchland," and not listed on the outside of the "Elmo in Grouchland Sing and Play" VHS. There are pictures of Huxley and the "Queen of Trash" in "Elmo in Grouchland Coloring Fun," but both pictures are very WASPY and don't look like either Mandy or Vanessa Williams. (Nor is he one of the 3 Grouchland characters Avon's coming out with.) There are photos from the movie in "The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland Movie Storybook"!(That's a keeper...the rest go to my grandchildren!) I love the picture of Mandy in his pajamas with his nightcap tip in his mouth...and one with Elmo's blanket wrapped arpound his head. Why do I have the feeling that playing this character was not difficult for Mandy....that he's closely in touch with his "inner child" :> Carol ----------------Message-boundary From: [email protected] To: [email protected] Subject: MP: (Off) Sopranos Date: Wed, 15 Sep 1999 20:31:07 +1000 Phantm and Bev wrote: >> (Sopranos is a GREAT show by the way. Well, I guess I'll find out for myself in November when it's supposed to be shown on Channel 9 here, which is a regular TV network - not cable. Will I then find out why Bev 'put on' the Scottish accent? :) [Love the way you did it as HTML code, Bev] SueH -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- "I love the idea of one man trying to struggle against the herd, which is what I try to do every single day of my life" ---- Mandy Patinkin -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- *Melbourne Mandy fans (and others!) join: mailto:[email protected] *The Michael McCarthy mailing list [THE best Javert]: mailto:[email protected] *Fans of any/all cast members of The Practice join: mailto:[email protected] -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- ----------------Message-boundary-- -- End --
