No kidding, on a regular TV channel? Man, are they ever gonna have to do some

Oh, the Scottish accent had nothin' to do with it. I was just in an Austin

I was watching an interview with Holland Taylor on E news daily, on the E
channel. At the end she read a letter she had gotten from Tom Hanks then went
on to read a letter that started out with something like this .." If a fine
actor such as Mandy Patinkin can admit that he did not deserve to be
nominated for the Emmy "... I bolted up trying to hear word for word what the
letter was about and who had sent it, it sounded like she said "signed Mandy
Patinkin " but she mumbled it so I really am not sure about it at all. This
show will be rerun at 6: 30 PM today on the E channel.

Well, we'll see. Maybe they won't.

Sex And The City began here two weeks ago, on the same channel - and they
don't edit that. (They made a point of mentioning the fact). They've come a
long way, since the uproar several years ago, when Michael Cole(?) (from
Mod Squad) said "sh*t" on a televised awards ceremony.

O, I C - wondered how a Scottish accent fitted in with the mob!

I'm sure there are at least a couple of people on the list who know - but I

Oh well, I'd better go for now - I've got a date with Huxley in an hour!
. I'm taking my stop watch to
see how far into the film he makes his appearance - and to clock his total
on-screen time (if nothing goes wrong while doing it). Anyway, I'll
probably see it again next week. Heh heh heh!

I very briefly perused a copy of the CH premiere episode script today and
was a bit surprised at the amount of profanity in it. Either they
substituted other language for the "F" words when they shot it or they are
going to bleep them out... Guess we'll see next week.

Did anyone else see this? Why would he say he didn't deserve to be
nominated for an emmy? and more to the point why would she read the
letter on TV? I couldn't believe he didn't get nominated for Broken
Glass.

I was reading a review about a new FOX show called Action. It mentions that
the show has a lot of profanity...but it will be bleeped out. Seems like
that might be the trend for this new season :(

Depending upon WHICH "F" words you're referring to, they may just leave 'em
in. "Frig," "Frigging," etc. have become socially acceptable, apparently. I
hear them on prime time shows and even from instructors in professional
classes!

Guess they could also go to the British slang euphemism - "Effing"

OR maybe they are going to be doing their part to bring the networks into the
realm of cable!

Carol P. <-------was already looking forward to the new season and now is
really curious

I'm not referring to friggin, though they may have made such a substitution.
