It was very cute! They both pretty much ran the interview. It was all Laura could do to try to keep up! They mentioned that they were in talks with Sondheim to bring Elmo in Grouchland to Broadway (ha ha). Mandy was wearing a WHITE golf shirt and was laughing and joking. It made my Monday! I was on the MP list a long time ago...I unsubbed when my marriage started to head south. We're divorced now. Life is at last calming down. And I finally found you all again... Anyway, do you remember me? Probably not, but I remember a few of you. Its neat to see Diane and Kendall still on the list. I think Ioana must still subscribe since she's forwarded a few things from time to time. I just bought tickets to see MP in Fort Worth at the new Bass Performance Hall in two weeks. I know on what I make teaching voice plus my child support money and with my huge lawyer bills I shouldn't probably spend money that way but even single moms just gotta have fun. And let's just say the quality of performance makes the $50 a good value, eh? I can't wait. I haven't seen him in maybe three years? I hope he still meets fans afterward. I saw him a few years ago when he sang at the Meyerson in Dallas. Had last row third balcony nose-bleed seats but there really isn't a bad seat in that house for sound. He was incredible, of course! When I finally came face to face with the man, Oh! He was so gracious. For the few minutes that I had his attention it truly was his undivided attention and it was heaven. Anyway. Good to be back. Hope all is well for everyone. Looking forward to getting caught up on the Mandy relate news and other what-not on this list. Your birthdate numbers add upto 31 and 3+1 is 4. If you disregard the '9' you end up with 22, which also equals 4. (Don't know where you got the '2' from). Looks like I really started something here! For those of you who would *like* to be a 4, but aren't - maybe you'll have better luck with your name number. This formula is good to get numbers not just for names but anything where you need numbers - like Lotto games etc! Write the numbers 1-9 across - with small gaps between. Then write the alphabet under those. (The letters under #1 should be A, J and S). "MANDY" adds upto 21 and "PATINKIN" = 40 = 61 = 7 - there's 3 numbers to use in things, already! His 'name number' is 7, for the name he uses most of the time - but change the 'Mandy' to Mandel and maybe add in the Bruce - and it's a different number. (That's why some people spell their names 'funny' - there's a Simon in business here who spells it "Siimon"). That formula is the main way I pick numbers for the weekly lotto type draws here - and how I won the $4,000+ I bought this computer with! :) SueH ----------------Message-boundary From: [email protected] To: [email protected] Subject: Re: MP: Mandy's birth number Date: Tue, 28 Sep 1999 03:09:33 EDT Okay, I guess I was wrong. OK, OK. Now let me explain what this is *really* good for besides picking lotto numbers. It's called the "proof by nine" and I learned it in the third grade in a third world country but was not allowed to use it when I returned to the US and entered the eighth grade because the teacher didn't understand it. Childhood trauma indeed! Let's say you're adding: 27+ 13 45 = 85 Now you reduce all the numbers down to their, er, number. 2+7 = 9 = zilch 1+3 = 4 4+5 = 9 = zilch So that gives us 4, right? Now reduce 85 to 13 = 4, right? So the addition was correct. It also works for subtraction, multiplication, and addition, of course. Or, as Lewis Carroll put it, sedition, distraction, uglification and derision. It can give you false positives, of course, if the digits in your wrong answer just happen to add up to the correct result. But it will never tell you that a correct answer is wrong.
