Patinkin is supposed to appear on the Elmo soundtrack, to be released

ten he appears on. Anyone know?

I am a Mandy fan as well, and I'm only 15. I've been fasinated with him
since I was 13, though. Meeting him in San Fransisco for a late birthday
gift was quite nice as well. My friends don't understand me, most of my
classmates don't know who he is unless I mention "The Princess Bride." One
girl thought he was my brother, which was quite strange..... Glad to know
there are other teens out there who adore him as much as I :)

I was also pleasantly surprised at JEKYLL AND HYDE because I'd heard all the
horror stories about the show and thought I would be spending an evening
trying desperately to stay awake through a boring production. I've been
hesitant to buy a J&H cd because I've heard that the currently available
recordings aren't very good. If anyone knows of a good version, please let
me know.

I thought Chuck Wagner was great as Jekyll/Hyde and particularly enjoyed the
"duet" he sang. I also thought he was very believable in creating the two
separate characters with only wigs, a few articles of clothing and lighting.
I didn't notice any makeup changes (he really wasn't off stage very often) to
transform Jekyll to Hyde.

I thought Sharon Brown (Lucy) was very overrated. She was definitely not in
the same league, vocally, as Andrea Rivette (Emma) who sang beautifully. Ms.
Brown missed quite a few notes and her performance, while adequate, was not
of "standing O" calibre. However, many of the audience obviously did not
agree with me.

Chuck Wagner has a web site:
http://www.chuckwagner.com/

There are also several JEKYLL AND HYDE websites:
http://www.jekyll-hyde.com/

http://www.roava.net/~demoiselle/

Both have message boards where someone who professes to be Chuck Wagner (and
probably is) posts quite often.

James Clow (who played Dr. Jekyll's best friend Utterson) was one of the
Comedian Harmonists in HARMONY a few years ago in La Jolla. I thought he was
much better in HARMONY, but that's probably because HARMONY is one of my
favorite musicals.

Lyn <=hoping she got all three urls correctly entered in this message.

In response to the fact that people would not want to go to Mamoloshen
Concert if they were not Jewish, well my husband and I are both from mixed
backgrounds.Irish,Scottish,German,English, and we live on the
Texas--Louisiana border. The first time we went to a Patinkin concert it
was in Houston, when he started singing in yiddish---we loved it. Just
seeing someone respond to the warmth he gets from the audience, who cares
what the language is?? Since then we have seen him in Houston again, where
he announced from the stage about what was going on with CH,he brought down
the house. After the concert we were able to meet him, when I asked for his
autograph he was so humble. It was as though I had done him a favor by
asking. How someone can be this way following a 2-3 hour concert. I'm
counting the days till 10/09 concert in Galveston...hope there is no
hurricane. Got to go at Midnight they start selling a limited number of the
See & Sing Video of Elmo in Grouchland. For the record his fans know no age
I am 56 and my husband is 45. See Mandy knows best older women.

Excuse me but it was stated that there was disappointment on Mandy's
part about it not playing everywhere and that it was due to
anti-semitism. I was simply stating my opinion that it was financial
concerns not anti-semitism that was responsible. I don't think as many
people who aren't Mandy die hards would go to Mamoloshen (would they
even know what it was?) whereas they would go to a night of Broadway
tunes with Mandy. If you hadn't known about Mandy, would you have gone
to Mamoloshen? I said that not many people would go to a foreign
language concert even if it was their heritage- I didn't single out
Jewish people. I've never been to a Swedish or a Celtic concert
either.(my heritage) Come to think of it I'm not sure they've ever had
one around here.
Well, maybe Swedish, but then you have to eat Lutefisk first!
Renee- not Swedish enough for that :o)

I have a friend who loves mandy and saaw Mamaloshen in NYC. When Mandy came
to SF I asked her if she wanted to come. She said, "not if he's still doing
that Mamaloshen stuff."

It was great and beautiful, but had limited appeal. That's not anti-semite,
but it's a huge departure from what his built-in audience has come to expect.
Admire the CD, admire the passion, but glad that he toured with his "pop"
show.

Speaking of Mandy being Mandy ... we caught a bit of "Alien Nation" last
night on AMC or Encore or one of those other millions of movie channels. It's
still very disconcerting to hear that voice coming out of that face.

Funny, though; even with all the makeup, the way he tilts his head is a dead

there somewhere be a mistake about him coming to Atlanta or maybe the date is
